Wilderness Lodge in Lapland

The Wilderness Lodge

Our Wilderness Lodge is located on the E45 in Auktsjaur, about 25 minutes north of Arvidsjaur on the road to Jokkmokk. It impresses with its location directly on the lake. The main town Arvidsjaur offers good shopping facilities with many shops where you can find everything for daily use as well as the nearest airport.

On the 1st floor of the main building there are 2 double rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom. On the ground floor you will find the café with about 25 seats, a small souvenir shop and a lounge with comfortable armchairs, so you can relax after a day filled with activities.

On the other side of the street is our base camp with sauna and fireplace, which are located directly at the lake. In summer the lake invites you to cool down and in the base camp you can process the fish you have caught during the day. You can either smoke it or grill it over an open fire. From the lake to the plate - fresher is not possible! In the evening one of our huskies will be happy to join you for a cosy round around the campfire. (Only if desired)
Across the lake, about 500 m from the lodge, is our romantic log cabin with direct view of the lake, its own fireplace and bathing jetty. Ideal for 2 persons or family with children.

100 m behind the log cabin, set back a little, is our house where the camp of our 11 huskies is located. We would be happy to visit the dog facility by appointment and present our huskies to you personally.
If you like it a little quieter, book our Reivo wilderness hut in the middle of the Reivo nature reserve, it is about 20 minutes drive from the lodge directly on the lake with good swimming facilities, but without running water and electricity, but with sauna and canoe. Fishing, hiking and wild animal watching, all this can be found right in front of the door. Also suitable for families with children.

For those who want to go further out into solitude, the Dolvor Wilderness Hut offers a unique opportunity. You can reach this lonely hut on the lake in the bear country after a 1 hour drive and another 20 minute walk. The Dolvor hut is without running water and electricity but has exclusive fishing rights in the lake and a canoe is available.
