By car:

Our Wilderness Lodge is located in Auktsjaur on the E45 between Arvidsjaur and Jokkmokk.

There are various ferry connections from Germany and Denmark such as the Öresund Bridge from to reach Sweden.

We personally prefer to take a section of the ferry because you can take a short break from driving.

Kiel - Gothenburg

Arrived on the Scandinavian side, there are different routes on which you can get to Lapland. One route takes you on the E4 via Stockholm and then along the picturesque coast, past Gävle, Sundsnall, Örnsköldsvik, Nordmaling, Umea and Skelleftea.

Alternatively, the E45 would be through the interior of Sweden

We have already driven both routes. The coastal road is very beautiful and offers a lot of variety. We found that it takes a little more time, but it is worth it.

By air:

Airports

There are several possible destination airports in the area, the way to get there is always via Stockholm (Arlanda).

We have already flown up with various air lines. Swiss and Polish Airlines LOT or both flights with Scandinavian Airlines SAS.

The nearest airport is Arvidsjaur (AJR) only 30 minutes away.

Alternatively, the airport in Lulea on the coast is about 2 hours by car, although further away but sometimes cheaper and also cheaper.

In winter there are direct flights from Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Hanover to Arvidsjaur.

Upon agreement, a transfer from and to the airport is possible

If you want to be independent, there are various car rental companies at the airports to choose from.

For those of you who want to travel on a budget, cheap flights can be booked from Stockholm to Luleå with Norwegian (throughout the year). Luleå Airport is under 2 hours drive from our Wilderness Lodge and it is possible to take public transport (bus) from Lulea which stops directly outside of our Wilderness Lodge.

The nearest train station is in Jörn about 100 km south of Auktsjaur (bus connection between Jörn and Arvidsjaur - Auktsjaur).

Transfer:


If necessary, we will organize the transfer from / to Arvidsjaur, the price is 89 € per group of up to 4 people. If necessary, we also organize the transit to / from our huts and activities.

The transfer should be booked in advance.
